Mission
Decathlon Switzerland is growing fast (+50 stores, ~500M€ GMV end of 2026). To support this growth and cover a maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced FP&A for an 8-month mission, in our Bussigny office (Lausanne).
Reporting directly to the Chief Value Officer (CVO), Virginie, you will be in charge of key processes at the country level : budget 2027, monthly closing and performance debrief. You will not manage a team directly, but you will be the key financial coordinator for the country during the budget period.Your mission is to drive the sustainable economic performance of the country with impactful analysis. You will also be the first contact representing Decathlon Switzerland to the global group FP&A.
Key responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced FP&A able to take over different missions at country level. Your main responsibilities will be :
- Supervise and run the entire budget process for Decathlon Switzerland from September to the end of January
- Lead the monthly closing overview and performance debriefs, analyzing gaps between commitments and actuals
- Provide accurate data for all financial reporting and handle the economic follow-up of support functions and logistics
- Conduct cross-country analyses on topics like commercial performance, staff costs, and the impact of bonuses
- Support ad-hoc projects and challenge business leaders using real-time data
You will be connected to the entire Finance team and you will be the key contact of the Group FP&A.
Planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Design a proper budget roadmap with clear milestones and make sure the budget is delivered with high quality and one time
- Influencing and driving the strategic decisions in the company with an accurate budget plan and flexibility plan.
- Co-building our trajectory guidelines and performing the budget and business planning
Performance management and reporting
- Enlightening and challenging the business decision, by using real time data, on the day to day business cases.
- Providing accurate data and figures for all the finance reporting (Closing, Piloting, Group and Country Reporting etc.)
- As a business partner, supporting and challenging the leaders to boost their performance.
- Provide financial leadership and support to ad-hoc and cross-country projects
Profil
Your profile:
- For this role, we need a true finance expert with a strong controlling background. You have at least 3 years of successful experience specifically in managing budget processes.
- You perfectly understand how a budget is built, including financial ratios, margins, and efficiency metrics. A good knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) is a plus.
- You are highly proficient in financial analysis and modeling using tools like google sheets.
- You are dynamic, highly motivated, curious, and hands-on, ready to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- You are fluent in both English and French (C1), which is strictly mandatory to navigate our multicultural environment. Speaking German is a great advantage.
Key details of the position:
- Contract: this is an 8-month fixed-term contract (CDD) to cover a maternity leave.
- Location: the role is based in Bussigny (Lausanne). It's also possible to be based in Geneva
- Start date: we are looking for someone to start in July 2026 or sooner.
